Teen Gothic

My picks would be Disintegration and Floodland, but I’d love to hear other people’s choices, especially if it’s lesser known stuff.

I've been lookig to expand my music taste a bit and branch into different subgenres. What bands would you recommend to a complete newcomer to goth music?

This might sound like a dumb question but sonically I think goth and post punk music sound similar

When did the word appear for the first time? (Referring to the subculture). Was it already around during the 80's?

Hi reddit goths

I want to get a goth rock band together. My local craigslist has been a dead end, I'm keeping my listing live but ready to start thinking of other ideas. I punched up a flyer that I'm thinking about having printed up to leave at likely spots (coffee shops, music stores, local club nights, etc). I can't decide if it's a stupid idea or not, but I kind of feel like I need to try something else before I just accept that I really am on my own here. Just wanted to see if anybody had some insights that I might be able to use or thoughts on the subject. Thanks!
